Mechanic costume for Revival 25

Afternoon all.

My brother-in-law and I will hopefully be attending revival for the first time this year.

I’m looking to dress up as a time period appropriate mechanic. So far I have the following.

.Short sleeved khaki overalls (couldn’t quite justify spending the extra money for longsleeved)
. White shirt
. Brown tie
. Flat cap
. Brown belt
. Period Shell/Dunlop patches

The part I am struggling with is footwear.

I’ve been looking through Photos to see what the appropriate pair would be for the time period, but cannot seem to find anything.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I am no expert, but think black or brown leather lace up boots would fit.
Some brown brogues might look a bit more dapper though.

wear what you're comfortable in / what's suitable for the conditions... but yes, black / brown boots or walking shoes would be fine!
