Best car park and route in from m25 west
Discussion
Hi all,
Apologies if the info is already here but I've had a quick look and can't find it
I've managed to get 2 tickets for tomorrow and will be leaving home from Bedford about 06:30 (wife isn't happy with this let alone earlier)
Given the m25 closure what's the best route in and also best public car park to a) avoid majority of queues, and b) be able to stand a chance of getting out without a 3 hour gridlock?
Google reckons about 2 1/4 hours to get there so arriving just before 9.

From my Friday experience, A34 and M/A27 was hopeless.
I left East Northants at 6am (second attempt after having a deer run in front of me on first run starting at 5am); I didn’t get parked up until after mid-day. Avoid Chichester at all costs if you can (road closures make it difficult); maybe via midhurst?
They really need to get a grip of traffic management as it’s completely ineffective presently for the numbers being attracted now. A couple of road closures and a few ‘ please keep roundabout clear’ signs just don’t cut it.
The locals must hate the event.

You need to come in from the North and avoid the A27.
Maybe M3 to Farnborough and A31 to get on the A3 at Guildford, then come off at Petersfield, midhurst and follow signs to the open air museum in singleton and go over the top
That is roughly the way Google maps suggests, about 2 and half hours at the moment
