FoS - First time marshal - camping tips?

Has anyone got any useful info on marshals camping at FoS?

Is there just one area for 'workers'?

Campsite map?

What are the facilities like? Portaloos or permanent blocks.

Restrictions on Barbecues etc?

Good afternoon - you will receive information from BARC on the exact location of the marshals area in Campsite E. I can make an educated guess, but there is always the chance they will change it.

Toilets are good quality mobile units - not portaloo cabins as are the showers.

Not sure about the portable BBQ rules, but would think you maybe okay if they are supported above the ground/grass - confirmation will be in the BARC pack.

Happy to answer more questions you may have as a regular. The good news is that there is a bus from the campsite to the FoS site as it is a long walk...

Many thanks - We're doing the rally stage hence the questions about 'is there just one site for workers'.

It would appear that site E is, as you say, completely the opposite end of the venue and down by the circuit.

Down in the depths of Campsite E you will find marshals, volunteers, stall holders and casual staff - we had good fun taking to each other on windy Saturday last year. - Hopefully they manage to keep some distance from the rest of the attendees - I am all for having fun, but we need to be up before them!

If you mean the public, rather than Marshalls, yes, there are public camp grounds.

The rally marshals camp site is right at the top of the hill beside the rally stage.

You can bring in bbqs, you get cabins for loos and showers.

What days are you attending?
