Worth going on Thursday? FOS
Discussion
There will still definitely be far more than you can psee in a day though the hill climb programme for Thursday doesn't include the main 'batches' running over the weekend. Thursday action onthe hill usually includes manufacturer, supercar and 'first look' runs and this year the Style et Luxe cars too.
There will be a couple of drifting sessions and usually all of the rally stage and off road arena entries do a run .
They have added a track walk at 8.30
Red Arrows are only there Thursday & Friday...
Well worth it in my opinion. I first went on a Friday 20 years ago when The Times would give away Free tickets. I've not missed one yet and i think that was probably the only time i did less than three of the days!
You will be back for more

I always do the Thursday (well, all four days). As there's less of interest going up the hill, it gives me time to wander around the other stuff with less people around. Saying that Thursday has got loads busier the last few years, pre and post covid break compared to what it used to be.
Could someone remind me - are the manufacturer batches on Thursday largely repeat runs, or is there much variability in them? (And how much is carried over to First Glance/Supercars on Friday?)
Planned to mostly spend Thursday wandering the paddocks, and just considering what I'd be missing that I'll not see Friday...

It's not that far off being a full programme this year on Thursday...Goodwood 75
Rally and Off-Road
Supercar Run
First Glance + Bikes
Best of, featuring McLaren, Lotus and Jeff Beck cars
Timed Practice
There are only 4 manufacturer runs all day, and Timed Practice will almost certainly feature some of the cars from the missing groups (Tin Tops, Le Mans, Sports Racers)
It looks like Porsche 75 is the only batch entirely unaccounted for on the Thursday.
Any day at FOS is good, just do it.
They normally stream the full thing on YouTube all weekend so if you are interested in seeing a particular car/group or the final shootout that's not happening on the Thursday you can watch it there later.
The final runs are well worth watching on YouTube as you get a much better sense of how much they are pushing it up there than in person.

not sure if it's a new addtion, but the Porsche 75 is now in the Thursday timetable @ 1315, just ahead of the "Porsche 75 Celebration Moment" in front of the house...Surprised we've nt seen the entry list yet... Still negotiating what they can get from the LM24 museum?

Surprised we've nt seen the entry list yet... Still negotiating what they can get from the LM24 museum?
Ah yes, pretty sure that wasn't there earlier and the numbers are currently out of sequence, so maybe still updating it.Surprised we've nt seen the entry list yet... Still negotiating what they can get from the LM24 museum?
Either way a very full programme on Thursday now with the reduction in manufacturer batches, it's now basically the old Friday (minus the free tickets from the Times and the Moving Motorshow!)

I was told by a friend that the Lamborghini hypercar was debuting at the FoS, I hope they’re there Thursday!!!
Yes, it was posted on the LM24 Instagram account and then later elsewhere. It's now on the GRR news feed, too. I think it's static on their stand all 4 days with a Thursday reveal - I wonder if they might do what Porsche did last year with the 963 and take it for a demo up the hill at the end of Friday... Also on the latest timetable is the Ferrari LM24 winners on the balcony on Saturday. Hope they have brought the car with them to take part in the LM24 batch...
Anyone know what the "Porsche - Art of Dreams" moment is all about?
First time at FoS and we're trying our best to plan our day a little, can anyone explain what the "moment" events are on the timetable? Assuming its a video played on big screens to celebrate xyz?
Also, appreciate a heads-up from any veterans on "what not to miss" for Thursday.
Cheers!
Edit: Bugger just noticed this is a bit of a repeat of the above post... eh... greater visibility now I guess!

Moments are typically a line up of cars directly in front of the house under the big central feature. Sometimes fireworks too.
I don't think I've ever actually seen one live (and I've been going since 2007!) as I'm usually further up the hill or on the rally stage with no sight of a big screen.
