Has anyone been to Goodwoof? - The dog festival
Discussion
We went last year, was an enjoyable day out in the sunshine - queues to enter your dog in some of the activities were quite long we only managed 1 thing in the end , I wouldn’t travel hours to go but if you have spare time and don’t live too far away we enjoyed it enough to go back again this year!
We went last year - the queues were ridiculous for a lot of the participation stuff but it was a first event and their publicity for this year indicates that they will improve this.
The Dog sprints were great fun and surprisingly competitive - our dog is under strict instructions to improve her performance.
Barkitecture display was fun
We travel from Merseyside for all the motor events and its always hectic so this gives you the chance to visit the bucolic attractions that you miss while haring about for the car stuff
We are going again this year to see if it is any better organised and will then decide if its worth going again.
Its only worth going for one day, I think.

Yes, took the family and the in-laws with their labrador on the Saturday.
It was a pretty good event. Some areas were a bit on the busy side but others were far more open and a relaxing - live acoustic music under a sun canopy, enjoying a pint - what's not to like!
Overall, lots and lots of dogs of all sorts all enjoying the company of other (mostly) well behaved dogs.
