Hi,

Just a quick one because I know there are a couple of people on PH who work for Goodwood and I was just thinking that it seems to be about time for an announcement about this years Breakfast Clubs.

Anyone know when we might get an update?

I was looking the other day. Last year they announced on 17 Jan.

Looking at the circuit diary the following dates are available:

26 March
02 April
09 April
07 May
14 May
30 May
04 June
30 July
06 August
17 September
01 October
29 October

There are a few other dates that the diary says are on but could run a breakfast club (I think)

Good morning!

The dates and themes for the 2023 Goodwood Breakfast Clubs will be announced later this month. Anyone who has attended a Breakfast Club before and who is opted in to receive communications from us should receive an email, and the announcement will also be on the Breakfast Club page on our website.

The exclusive GRRC Breakfast Club date has already been announced as Sunday 25 June and registration will open for this approximately six weeks before the event.

With best wishes,

Sarah

Had a press release come up on my facebook which had come through from Goodwood that appeared to suggest this is indeed the case. The three announced would seem to be it.

Would be a shame if that's true, if they do stop the public Breakfast Clubs they will no doubt still run at least one as a members benefit (hopefully)

My post was in jest but I can see it happening. The circuit is being used more each year on quiet days for cycling, running and other events that bring money in per person. I’d be surprised with the popularity of the breakfast clubs if they even break even through breakfast sales, they now have to employ traffic staff, additional caterers and the like. I suspect their downfall is the popularity. And it’s not like they need the events to drive ticket sales.

Would the attendance be much less if they charged £5-£10 per car?

So, only three this year. My car is only eligible for one, with is the one that will undoubtedly be oversubscribed.

In addition I see that Marcos hasn’t been added to the Performance Parking manufacturer list for the FoS, even though the organisation team were kind enough to grant me an exception to park there last year.

Feeling a bit grumpy about it all, to be honest.

The performance car list has always been a bit useless. You can have any supra but not a Z4 which the Supra is, you can take an Alvis tank but not a Marcos. Ford the only RS model listed is the 200, Honda only the NSX despite most performance models having more performance than many on the list. It’s just lazy they don’t update it or review it.

£10 a person would do it. People complain about the price of a burger so they'd stay away if there was an admission charge.
