I usually make a point of strolling through the trade stands but I didn’t see any selling a variety of car cleaning goods . Historically there might have been two or more.
Even my wife commented and compared it with the revival over the road stands.

Meguiars were there and auto finesse, gyeon and gtechnic. In fact they were some of the biggest stalls there.

Meguiars had ‘20% off all purchases’ as a special offer for Goodwood.

Even after discount it was still more expensive than Amazon. I mentioned this to the guys in the stall. They said ‘so buy it from Amazon’ which I did, saved carrying it around all day and it was waiting for me when I got home at the end of the weekend.

That stand must have cost £thousands. You’d think they be doing whatever they could to sell product.

My post was relating to what I’ve seen several of in the past i e stalls with multiple ranges and buckets, sponges and a range of products from pretty much all makers. And at “ show offer” prices some a good deal.

It might just be the people who ran those stalls have given it up after a couple of years with no events to attend.

I assume stands there (whether trade, food drinks or anything else) cost a fortune. It simply won’t be worth paying for a stand to flog a few sponges.

The same for any show. I used to go to the photography show at the NEC but fuel, food and parking (entry was free if a pro or knew the workaround) and before you know it you could have purchased some new kit. Then there’s the show offers that are generally not a deal.

I don't think the likes of Meguiars are there to sell stuff to cover the cost of the stand....it's a publicity opportunity for them, selling things at the show is very much a secondary exercise.
