Is there a schedule for Speedweek?

Also, any idea why it's called Speedweek when it's on a weekend?

Im fairly sure the gymkhana event that makes use of track, infield and tunnel is end of day Saturday.

Circuit shootout (which is surely going to see a new lap record) is (I think!) Sunday late afternoon.

I'm hoping that I'm clear and free to watch both. Can't wait to see what sort of rules/setup it's going to be for those of us there running cars.

... I think I read somewhere on here it was originally meant to be a whole week 5 days of stuff... but they reduced it to 3 days and kept the name...

they're allowed 5 days of no noise restrictions a year...

(I'll be lucky enough to be in attendance... woohoo )

I see there is TV coverage of the event, Friday and Saturday afternoons on ITV4 and on ITV on Sunday.

Also streamed live on a few online channels over the whole weekend.

So assume it’ll be live streamed from 9AM Friday? Similar to FOS?

Does anybody know where to stream the event? Can't seem to find any info. Their YouTube?

From the GRRC newsletter that I got on Friday, the Speedweek area of the Goodwood website will launch on Wednesday. This will have the links to the streams.

ah, didn't realised the shootout was a lap of the circuit. Had thought they were still going to run up the hill.

Have had a look at the website and couldn't see a program or entry list available but sure it will all be published in due course.

With no BTCC or F1 this weekend should provide some interesting motorsport viewing smile

You can get that on the main Goodwood website: https://www.goodwood.com/motorsport/goodwood-speed...

There is a link to download the timetable and entry list as a PDF: https://www.goodwood.com/globalassets/motorsport/s...

I'm guessing website launched today is where the streams will appear.

Yep.

I'd suggest it's entirely possible the lap record drops quite significantly - currently held by a Lola T70, which is no doubt an utter beast of a car but compared to modern capabilities...

Flying lap or standing start? If the latter, it's going to need to be quite a lap...

Standing start under Sprint rules.

Huh? Lola T70 is up there with my favourite cars, but that laptime will be annihilated by a fair few of the entrants.
