Okay, I will start the thread.... What do we think is the likely situation with FoS this year?
Since LeMans has just been 'postponed' and the MM78 has also been postponed, I think it is increasingly likely that FoS won't happen.
I wasn't planning to go this year as I really didn't enjoy it at all last year, but it does look like I am not going to get much for my membership.
Nothing we can do about it - and it is only a show, so in the global scheme of things isn't that important.

FOS absolutely zero chance I would think,
Revival slightly better odds but still not great. If Revival goes ahead it might be just a racing event without all the other stuff that goes on with it as I think it's likely we will still be in effective lockdown until at least August and planning, preparation, logistics etc for an event like the Revival (and FOS) takes several months.

If we look 12 or so weeks out to get on top of the outbreak (best case Government to keep the hopes up) then that would not allow much time for the site build. Will any of the manufacturers or sponsors have the spare cash to support the event in July?
I think that if it does run it will be a very different event to what was originally planned.

The setup for FoS takes months, so they would need to start the build in April or May... So there may be a window to decide on cancelling it for another week or two, but I can't imagine it'll go ahead unless we see a dramatic improvement in the spread of the virus before Easter.
The new Goodwoof event has been cancelled, and that was due to happen at the end of May.

I can’t see FOS happening. As has been said the build takes months, there is also the impact a lot of manufacturers will have felt over these past few months and the small traders that attend unlikely to be able to afford the high prices Goodwood dictates.
I would not be surprised if Goodwood only has the revival this year.

I wanted to write to you and let you know personally about our plans for this year’s Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard. Following all that’s happened in the last few weeks and the advice we have received from the UK Government, we have decided to postpone the Festival to later in the year.
We obviously want to be sure of choosing the best possible date; this will require some careful consideration and as soon as we have that we will let you know. Whatever we decide to do I can assure you it will be just as fantastic a celebration of everything we love and enjoy as you would expect. Most likely it will happen late summer, early autumn and, of course, your tickets and hospitality bookings will remain valid for the new date.
We will continue to review plans for the Goodwood Revival, in the hope that the event will go ahead as planned on September 11-13th, as well as the rescheduling of the 78th Members’ Meeting.
These are dramatic and unbelievable times but they will pass and we are already trying to think about just how exciting it’s going to be to welcome you all back to Goodwood for what perhaps might be the ‘Greatest Event Ever’.
If you need any further information about the event, please visit our website for coronavirus FAQs.
With warmest wishes,

I feel they are being remarkably ambitious hoping to run the MM and FoS at some point this year, I guess they just want to hold off as long as possible (and not have to refund everyone).
If nothing else FoS later in the year will be a drastically reduced event as the motorsport calendar will be absolutely rammed should things improved. I can't see F1 have a presence as they'll be knee deep in a crazy packed schedule.

Gutted about this, not been for a couple of years and for first time was eligible and had booked for performance car park. Totally understand why as lots to plan but I was hoping this would be something to look forward to once the worst of the shutting in ends.
Better get my hotel room cancelled now for the night before
