Goodwood Motorsport season ticket competition
Want to go to Members' Meeting, Revival and Festival of Speed next year? Here's how you can!
These ever-darkening afternoons are a bit gloomy, aren't they? Many of you may have tucked your pride and joy into its winter bed in preparation for the inevitable salty, grime-covered tarmac that we'll only be seeing more of. Evening dog walks are now being tackled with a torch, and it's pretty bloody cold. As usual though, PH has a little bag of goodies to help fight the winter blues... We're your shoulder to cry on, your reassuring hug and, more importantly, your provider of the finest Goodwood experiences on offer!
We don't have tickets to just one of Goodwood's spectacular events, though. Not two, either. Yep, we've managed to bag tickets to three of Goodwood's biggest events, plus a Fellowship subscription, all for one lucky winner! The 78th Members' Meeting is the first on the cards, which is without question the most exclusive race meeting in the world. The Members' Meeting is usually only open to members of Goodwood Road & Racing Club, and is Goodwood's opening race weekend of the year, taking place on 28-29 March 2020, where it recreates the atmosphere and camaraderie of the original BARC Meetings held at Goodwood through the 50s and 60s. Combine that with some of the world's most famous racing cars from the period, buzzing food markets and Goodwood's biggest outdoor party, it certainly isn't a weekend you'll be forgetting any time soon.
Next up is the famous Festival of Speed, known for the fantastic hill climb taken on by all manner of amazing cars and bikes, both classic and modern, with racing legends behind the wheel of many - last year saw the Volkswagen ID.R take the hill climb record from the McLaren MP4/13, which held the record for 20 years! The Festival of Speed is not a simple hill climb event, though; it's a chance to see global debuts of new cars and future tech, it gives you opportunity to see modern F1 cars up close and personal and watch incredible drift displays from the likes of Mad Mike. And let's not forget the aviation and air displays throughout the weekend; you can look forward to seeing the Red Arrows, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and much more to boot.
The third and final item on the menu is, of course, the ever-popular Goodwood Revival, where the circuit and its occupants head back in time for the weekend. The Revival recreates the golden era of racing at the Motor Circuit, which means you'll be stepping back in time to 1948-1966, with heavy encouragement to dress the part, too. That means boiler suits, military uniforms and flowery frocks galore! The racing is fantastic, the period-appropriate entertainment is wonderful and the atmosphere second to none. Again, this will be a weekend to remember.
The lucky winner will win two tickets to all of these events, plus a one-year Fellowship competition to top it off! There will also be three runners-up, who will be given a one-year Fellowship subscription each. If you want to be in with a chance of winning this incredible prize, then all you have to do is enter the form below. The competition will close at 11:59am on December 6th 2019. The lucky winner and runner ups will be listed on this thread, and also contacted by email - so make sure your email is up to date in your account!
