FOS tickets

I’m going to be taking my husband to FOS as a surprise birthday present next year and was wondering whether someone can give me some advice about tickets? We’re going on the Saturday and Sunday. Is it worth getting the grandstand passes too? Or just general admission?
Neither of us have ever been before so any advice greatly appreciated.

If you haven’t been before I wouldn’t bother with grandstand tickets for at least the first day. You could probably get away with both days without if you’re both mobile.
