Nice to have a proper free livestream again. Will this be continued through the weekend?

I wonder how the "Pay per View" experiment of the Members' Meeting went financially?

Why do you think a commercial event should stream for free? I have never been to the theatre to find it streamed for free, nor a football match.

That said I will be checking out the stream later in the weekend - but then I have "paid for" access anyway.

Not saying one thing or the other. However, in the past it was free and moving to the Pay to View model was tried back in March for the MM. I was just wondering how it worked out for Goodwood financially.

The fact that the Festival is back to a "free" format may indicate it didn't work. However, I don't know what the plans are for the other days of the Festival.

Live stream (assuming same as the big screens display) is probably better than being here.
Strange atmosphere... I know it is 'only' the Thursday but is seems different than last year. Too many stands selling tat. Doesn't seem to be literally half as busy as last year.

Doesn't look too busy today, at the top of the hill anyway?

Funny - just said the same to other half. managed to get a seat in the grandstands easy and/or right by the track. No queuing for food/drink and easy to get around at our pace rather than dawdling behind a throng.

Heidfeld's record may go this year. That electric car is blindingly quick. In fact, I think it could have beaten the time today only he backed off. I reckon it will go on Sunday.

Am massively enjoying chilling out with a beer or two and watching the livestream.

Continue to be horribly torn between really, really wanting to be there and my hatred of crowds and inability to maintain my personal space.

Went getting on for 15 years ago & suspect that crowds are significantly larger these days.

Shame seeing the old f1 getting a fire! come on fire marshalls when the driver is pointing to the entrance to fire not going quicker! hopefully not expensive repair needed!
