FOS Up the hill?
Discussion
Well, it's not exactly the most exotic or rarest or even the most expensive vehicle you will ever see, but saying that it's the only one in the world and took 4 years to make. If that was at £45 per hour then maybe you are looking at the rarest and most expensive mk1 escort ever. But it is the Fastest. https://youtu.be/1gEhUl84Izg

Unless they have a home built car class I don’t think you’ll ever get a run at FOS. If you go to the horse racing (there’s normally a race a week or 2 before) you can do the hill climb with all the associated hay bails and start finish sign to get to the car park.

In addition to this there’s a tweaked mk1 escort with an Ajp 8 engine in it, so I’m not sure it’s the fastest. Goodwood won’t be interested. Your looking more at Santa pod.
Build a 917 and they’ll be interested
You can take your car up the hill most times except at the Festival because access to the grounds of the house are only gated at the east entrance, even then they will open as you approach them.
Best enter from the west & depart via the east gate. Beware that Goodwood staff may be about but if you just Trundle up (locals will understand that pun) which is of course boring but you're unlikely to be bothered.
The day will soon come when access will be controlled by gates activated from the house - when his Earlship got robbed they just drove in & out as you can still do.
In the very early years of the FoS before the event became security conscious I would drive onto the estate during the build up & once out of sight of the main area & given a clear run have a blast up the hill beside the wall & then take it very easy towards the top where there was usually too many contractors about.
