Hi all,
I'm writing from Italy because this year is the sixtieth birthday of my father, a real passionate of classic cars, le mans and ferrari (in particular P4 and GTO), I like to compare him to a living encylopedia. My family and I wanted to do something special for him and we were thinking about a full week end in Goodwood Revival.
We are thinking of staying in Goodwood festival on Friday and Sunday (Saturday we want to do some trips around the area), trying to offer him the best experience we can.
In particular we are looking for a ticket that allow us to go to the paddock to stay very close the the car.

Do you have any tips or advise to give us in order to gift to my father the best experience in his life?

I'm afraid you can't enter the paddock unless you are a member of the GRRC or have a press pass. It is possible to view some of the cars from the public infield area.

If you can't get in to the Revival centre paddock there are other paddocks around the infield that you can get in to with the general admission ticket. These tend to be the bikes, St Mary's trophy race cars and the other cars that are maybe not as exotic, but that is a very different proposition when you look at the field of cars. At any other historic race meet many of these cars would be considered stars. It all really depends on what is interesting to you and your father. The GTOs will be in the centre paddock.

You can still walk all the way around the centre paddock and be very close to the cars that are parked around the perimiter, and probably see all of the cars. They all have to leave the paddock to get to the assemply area so there are lots of ways to get close to the cars. You can also stand around Parc Ferme and see the cars as they come off the track there
