The area that was the Moving Motor Show has been poorly used so it makes sense to have the Supercar paddock there - and last year it seemed that there was less support from some of the manufacturers than previously (no Audi stand), so maybe the reshuffling that will take place on that side of the road will help to disguise some other missing ones?

Yes, I agree, it does look a bit like it is shrinking ... there is no mention of anything going where the drifting and the First Glance paddocks used to be.

I appreciate that donuting has moved out of the supermarket car park and gained quite a following but I'm afraid it does nothing for me. The GRRC moved the members' tent a few years ago because of complaints about the noise of it. In its new position, it's not going to do much for the ambience of the Cartier "Style et Luxe" exhibition.

Have to admit that I still miss the old paddock (Cathedral?) that housed everything from pre-war leviathans to Richard Petty's NASCAR Plymouth. Which, in turn, was probably parked next to Tony Brooks' 1950s Aston Martin. Or maybe Bob Riggle's Hemi Under Glass.

I'll be at Geneva in a couple of weeks on press day, and it will be interesting to see what the mood is within the auto industry. I suspect, like others have mentioned already, that manufacturer participation is a key driver of this year's change at FoS. That's not a criticism, if anything it's a good sign that the organisers are responding to changes that they have little or no influence on.

I notice there’s still a big gap opposite JLR where Audi used to be... Wonder if they will ever return? Shame as they have been a part of FOS since the very beginning.

I completely agree, that was my favourite part to walk around. It had an atmosphere of its own, I was disappointed when they put the supercars in there instead.

How can you tell? I can only find last year's map on the Goodwood website.

If you click the link the Second Guy posted there’s a video of the new Map/Site. It’s not very accurate but shows a large gap where the Audi Stand is usually.

I wouldn't read too much into the specifics of that map, the Cartier lawn is completely empty/unlabelled but still going ahead.

I think Audi were missing last year as they have no fancy cars to offer the public.

The new car legislation has really hit Audi/VAG hard. Take a look at their website/configurator. They currently can't supply most cars over 252PS i.e w.0 TFSi Quattro A4/A5, S4, S5, RS4, RS5.
The only performance car on offer is the R8. So the Audi stand would of been very dull, full of entry level models and diesels.

The cathedral paddock was always, for me the most interesting paddock.

Moving the super car paddock near the Start line is an excellent idea.
It always felt really tucked away previously.

I want to know if Bikes at FOS is coming back.
My friend i go with is a bike nut.

I used to enjoy looking at what makes our Two wheeled friends tick.
