Any news on these this year? A few were cancelled last year. Think I only made it to 1.

Until/unless the fields dry out I don’t think there’s much chance of any announcements. They can’t risk not being able to park FoS visitors.

The circuit diary (last updated last week) is still showing the first Sunday of each month as to be announced.

Apart from the fields, i bet their trying to keep the supercar one (which might as well be the first one of the year) & the rest of the years dates almost secret until a couple of weeks before the event to avoid the madness caused last time.

That's my theory.

They made them ticket only Events after the first few last year. Assuming tgey’ll Do the same again to control the numbers. The tickets were free last year, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see a charge this year.

I think that the delay in publishing the dates/themes may be due to the condition of the car parking fields outside the circuit still and not being able to host general parking for non-theme cars.

I was down there yesterday and the grass/mud is still pretty cut up from the members meeting. Hopefully this weeks forecast of sunny weather can help.

Goodwood were posting images from previous breakfast clubs last week on social media, so perhaps something will be announced soon.

Gutted that Open Top Sunday's been dropped as it's always a popular one. But kind of glad they're launching a new theme for the first time in a couple of years & giving people the chance to vote on the final theme.

I bet the final results will be a landslide so to say...

Anyway..

"Here is the full list of Breakfast Club dates and themes:

May 6: Britain v USA – Transatlantic Sunday
Opening our 2018 Breakfast Club season with a battle between two of the world’s motoring powerhouses. Which will you pick as the best? Some refined British beauties or brutal American muscle? Come along to Breakfast Club and then log on and vote to let us know which side won!

June 3: Supercar Sunday
Celebrating the pinnacles of automotive engineering – the supercars and hypercars of the world, as well as high-performance exotica of all varieties. Supercar Sunday aims to bring together some of the greatest cars the world has ever seen.

August 5: Classic Car Sunday
Celebrating the heyday of motoring, Classic Car Sunday will welcome cars of all types, shapes and speeds – as long as they were built before 1978. We aim to fill the motor circuit with tax-exempt cars and bikes just a few weeks before the Revival gets underway.

October 7: Japanese Sunday
A feast of JDM goodness, for all those whose automotive love come with a Rising Sun flavour. Expect some of the greats of far eastern motoring on both two wheels and four from Honda to Lexus, Mazda to Subaru and beyond!

November 4: VOTE! Vee-Power Sunday or Hot Hatch Sunday?
For the first time ever we want YOU to decide which theme of our last event of the year. When voting opens you’ll need to decide between a return for the big vee-powered cars and bikes of Vee-Power Sunday or the small-yet-mighty nutters of Hot Hatch Sunday."

I'm glad also that the Supercar one isn't on first!

Do we need to register? I seem to recall if you are not showing your car you just turn up and park in the fields?

That used to be the case, until it got dangerously busy and since then its been a ticketed event (albeit FREE tickets, but you need to 'purchase' them on the Goodwood website).

Looks like they have a plan to avoid car park carnage if it's wet which is good to see.

Under FAQs for the Breakfast Club:-

"After the cancellation of both Japanese Sunday and Vee-Power Sunday in 2017, we have put in place a new for 2018 wet weather parking plan to ensure our customers have an enjoyable and risk-free experience. In the event of a wet weather Breakfast Club guests will be directed to car parks 8 & 9 at Goodwood Racecourse, which is only a couple of minutes up the road and then taken directly to the event via shuttle buses free of charge.

  • Please note; you will be notified whether we will run wet or dry weather parking in the pre-event email sent the day before the event."

Are supercar Sunday and Japanese Sunday already full as there is no option to get tickets for these events?

They'll be released nearer the time I imagine. At least that's how it worked last year.

No Soft top... booo

Great because it provides such a diverse range of cars, from classics to Supercars.

Just realised the first one of the season is on the same Sunday as Japfest, so looks like I won't be making it until the Supercar one anyway!

Shame because the TransAtlantic is a new theme as far as I know.
