Just watching the TV coverage and see that drivers seem to be described as the above and also DAR but don't know what it means.

Any explanation welcome.

Those are the names of the houses that are competing. See the www.goodwood.com for a further explanation.

They're the "houses" that the drivers are in - a nice idea that hasn't really taken off fully, but each car/driver is in a house, and they earn points... Aubigny, Torbolton, Methuen and Darnley

Thanks all.

It took me back to my school days too. Do they still have school houses in these non-competitive, all inclusive times?

More importantly - did anyone catch the final house scores?! Sacrificed a few limbs to frostbite to try and earn Aubigny some more points...!

Same!
Not sure what the final score was but the scoreboard in the dining hall showed Methuen had a 1000 point lead at lunchtime

I think Methuen must have all the best drivers as they win it every year smile
