It’s about this time of year that the MM tickets go on sale to all. Currently you can only buy if you’re a full member or you need to join via the fellowship.
Do you think tickets will be available to us all soon or will the fellowship be the only way to get them?

My understanding is that no members meeting tickets will be available to the public this year only GRRC and fellow members as ticket sales have been very strong.

As above the idea has always been to end up members only and I believe each year they get closer to that. You may find a sale of tickets close to the event but I imagine fellowship is the way to go if you want tickets or a friendly GRRC member.

However ticket prices have gone up now it’s the new year.

Thanks, caved in and joined the 'fellowship'.
If the last 3 are anything to go by the MM is the best event and cannot be missed!

Read it again scratchchin the post mentions it’s the time of year tickets go on sale for all.

The last 3 years tickets have been on sale to the general public.

Given that the Fellowship is open to everyone then, in reality, the tickets have already been on sale to the public. The text on the Goodwood ticketing site reads:

"If you are not already part of the GRRC, join the GRRC Fellowship to be able to book your Members' Meeting tickets."

It seems to me very unlikely that the requirement for Fellowship membership will be removed.

Agreed. Goodwood appear to be putting a lot of effort into building up the Fellowship. It would be stupid to pull the rug from under the feet of the people who've signed up at £39/year by removing one of the best reasons for joining. Can't see many Fellows renewing next year if they do!

Has anyone seen / got a link to what's on show and racing this year? I can't recall having received anything in the post from the GRRC on this

I'd like to know what's going to be there before I buy as I have a specific area of interest, and if those aren't there there's no real desire for me to make the trip

Try here for a list of races and the wider programme of events: https://www.goodwood.com/flagship-events/members-m...

Just had an email:

“Due to popular demand, this year there will be no general public tickets on sale.”

That confirms my 2 days sat in front of the telly and watching it live, preceded by 3 days 'live testing at Goodwood - all for free..

That’s if they don’t make watching it live a benefit only for those in the GRRC and fellowship. In some ways it would be stupid of them not to do that.

Goodwood really can't win can they...

make Members meeting open to public...

members say " ah theres no benefit to being a member! "

make members meeting closed to public...

non members say " ah £40 is a rip* off, I'm not paying that for the fellowship! "

  • - in my opinion its a good deal

1-2 & 8-9 March with plenty of private test days in February.

Whats all the fuss about?
Its brilliant marketing, no general public admitted.
Pay your £39 to be a fellow
Go by yourself and your ticket price is up by £39
or don't go at all and save your money!
Or maybe enjoy the other benefits of becoming a fellow?
