They’ve announced the dates but still only provisional. 2018 circuit diary comes out in the new year.
The 2018 circuit diary, such as it is, is here:https://www.goodwood.com/globalassets/motorsport/m...

F1 has just confirmed their calendar: http://www.skysports.com/f1/news/12433/11157548/f1...As there's no clash with the provisional Festival date (12-15th July) I imagine Goodwood will be able to confirm their date pretty quickly.

I've just received an email from Goodwood:
"Following the ratification this week of the Formula 1® calendar, we are delighted to confirm the dates for the 2018 Festival of Speed:
12 – 15 July
The 2018 Festival of Speed theme will celebrate the event's 25th anniversary: "Festival of Speed - The Silver Jubilee". To mark the Silver Jubilee, the Duke of Richmond (formerly Lord March) will choose his 25 favourite moments from the first 25 events - personal highlights which, in very different ways, have been landmarks in the Festival's history. These moments, and the cars and drivers which created them, will be cornerstones of this year’s event, alongside the usual gathering of extraordinary vehicles from the dawn of motoring to the present day and beyond"

I'm not sure whether I should go on the Thursday or on the weekend. Last year I helped out, so I didn't get much of a chance to wander around.
Only been there once but from what I read on this forum is this:Thursday
Pros: Less crowd, Better parking availability, Has Moving Motor Show, If you willing to pay you can look at the Bonhams Auction.
Cons: Only had Moving Motor Show / Supercar Run / Shootout practice (Supercar and Shootout practice are new to the event. They want to boost up Thursday attendance, Less chance to seeing important and famous driver.
Weekend:
Pros: All the event festive. Including cars and the driver.
Cons: A LOT of crowd and means jams and parking is full. And have I told you it's really crowded?
I have been going for the past three years with the wife but have now convinced some friends to come for the whole weekend so will be strictly men only. Only problem is they do not like the idea of spending hundreds of pounds of accommodation. Normally we would stay in a hotel in Pompy and drive down. Anyone got any recommendations for any camp sites close to Goodwood that still have plenty available? Preferably closer to the northern entrance.
Regards.
Regards.
