goodwood fos camping
Discussion
Hi all,
this year will be my second to the fos and after last year driving over an hour both ways each day i was quite simply zombified after the weekend :') so this year we decided to camp. i only have a few small questions the first is how close are the electric hook ups to the plots? what is the size of the camping plots? theres mention of a shop on site what does this sell food wise? final question is access easy as i'd consider popping to the local pub of a night for a meal but would need to get off/on the campsite? thanks any other tips anyone wants to give would be much appreciated

I've camped three years ago and will again this year.
Electric is close to the pitches but you'll probably need a 25m hook-up if you want to pick the best pitch available, rather than one close to a power bollard
The pitches are marked out and quite generous but I can't actually remember the shop. I think it was by the entrance.
The GW hotel was across the road and the Earl of March is fairly close but it must be rammed so I'm not sure how easy it would be to get a good pub meal close-by.
We stayed on the site and ate either in the event or at the camper. It all depends on the weather and the site had a really good atmosphere.

We've eaten at the Goodwood Hotel in previous years (usually just one night), they cater for people visiting Goodwood - last year there were pizzas (in the outdoor pizza oven) and Burgers etc with a big salad buffet for a fixed price. It was really very relaxing sitting outside munching pizza, with a pint in the evening sunshine.
The shop on the electric campsite is fairly basic (IIRC), selling milk, eggs, bacon etc - like a corner shop. Again, I may have had more Pimms than is sensible, but I'm sure there was a fish and chip van which visited one evening as well.

Good evening all, I'm looking for camping near Fos but not in fos site, I stayed at a farm couple of years back but cannot find on map or in the deep recesses of my addled mind! Any help would me greatly appreciated.. In camper van so don't need facilities just somewhere to park and possible wash!/ wee!
