Members Meeting Test Days
Discussion
Is there any particular theme or running order for the 3 test days, or anywhere to find out what's likely to be being exercised? Or is it completely random and pot luck on the day(s)?
I'm unable to make the meeting itself but hoping to get down to at least one of the test days for a look and listen.
Anybody here know, or taking anything out?
Many thanks,
Dave

Planning on popping in for 3rd March. Presume the new Aero club has a restaurant. Is it open to all for a spot of breakfast?
That's a negative ghost rider. Currently the cafe is still at the old control tower, there's a few issues with the new aero club that the builder is yet to resolve. alolympic said:
Are these free access?
They are. Similar to a normal trackday; no problem having a look around - just park out of the way and make sure you don't get run over... I'm going to drop in this afternoon as weather looks good so hopefully that will bring out something exciting.

And a load of singleseaters and can ams. Plus Tiff nedell.
Spotted! Was that your 500 in the paddock? Someone's day just turned expensive, think drivers fine though.
That must have happened just after I left, the cars definitely had some pace today!

did someone go "off" ?? quite rare on a test day...
Unfortunately, yes. From overheard mutterings in the paddock, I think it was a "misunderstanding" / "racing incident" under braking into Woodcote - resulting in a heavy impact with the tyre wall and spin.ecsrobin said:
red noble?

They did that! My lad was timing the two Lolas at about 1:24 for the lap, which is not hanging about (allowing for the imprecision of an iPhone stopwatch app being operated by a 10-year-old...).Was definitely worth the drive though; a sunny afternoon with some lovely cars on track. I'll post some pictures shortly.
Loved the noble sadly by the time I noticed it I was packing up so didint get a picture.
