About to move house and found a few old pictures some here might like?

These are from a track day in the mid-to-late 90s, possibly 1996, that I *think* may have been referred to as "Supercar Sunday" (long before the Brekkie Club). Pretty sure it was on the August Bank Holiday Sunday of whichever year.

The highlight for me, amongst the glorious array of Countach and Diablos, was the two Venturi 400s. I had (and still have) a serious love of these cars and would love to know if they're still in the UK?

I do recall chatter amongst those of us hanging around the (gravel!) paddock of the "bloke and his wife" who turned up in a Venturi and a purple Diablo respectively... having seen the numberplates in my photos below, I'm guessing that would be Mr. Saywell? Anyone know if he still has the Venturi?

Anyway, the "lunch time line-up"...

The Goodwood pits looked a little different back then!

One of two Venturis on track that day...

A cool story bro'...

I spent a long time chatting to the driver of this car, who had clearly driven (and raced them) a fair bit. I'm pretty sure he was sharing some tips with Mr.Saywell and have a vague recollection that he looked a bit like Jeff Goldblum - any idea who he was?

AOG plates...

Lovely Lambos...

Anyways, just thought I'd post them up; be interested to hear if anyone else was there that day - or remembers these "Supercar Sundays".

Wow I remember going to these events that as you say run on the aug bank holiday and if I remember correctly the were carrera club sport? there used to be a red 911 turbo that used to attend this event and boy was it loud(before the now mandatory noise meters located around the circuit, and I think they have a building still in haywards heath as when I was last there I noticed it and wondered if it was the same company that run these track days back in the good ole days!!!! I might have some images myself somewhere?

Great photos. As well as the amazing cars that were there (that would still turn heads today compared to some of the more modern cars), it makes you realise just how much Goodwood has changed since then.

Certainly, Lord March and his team have done a great job to turn it into the venue it is today.
