Does anyone know how you go about getting a drive up the hill. Do you need to pre book or register very early on the day?

Last year they were fully booked when I arrived

You need to pre book via a dealer. There will be limited numbers available on the day but you need to be there very early to get one.

Mercedes and Honda are not participating in the test drive part this year (so they told me), possibly a few others aren't either.

Different manufacturers have different rules: the other year Citroen told me they kept back some spaces for folk to book on the day - if you are there anyway just go up and ask the least obvious ones

Personally I don't see the obsession. Unless you're in the market for a new car I'd spend my time looking at the event itself.

It's pretty nice to go up the hill at speed. I went up in a Ford last year - I missed out on the Mustang because people in front did a shuffle to screw me, but it was still nice to get a ride in a Focus ST.

But it was a long, long queue.

I got to drive a Evora up the hill a few years back, was great. Its not the full hill though you turn off part way up.
