Revival air display
Discussion
I was reading the Midhurst and Petworth Observer in the pub last weekend and I vaguely recall an announcement by a councillor in Tangmere to local residents that they would not be disturbed by the air displays at this year's Revival because they would not be happening. I may have had a shandy or two when I read this and haven't gone back to the paper to check but has anyone else had any news about this? It would be a shame but last year's display (post Shoreham) was a disappointment.
Allegedly the CAA asked for air displays to be flat (i.e. no aerobatics) last year - it was very soon after Shoreham. Warbird displays are advertised as part of this year's Revival on the website but that may not mean much. I would be very surprised if there was no flying as it has always been an integral part of the event. Any flying displays will have to comply with the new rules brought in by the CAA post Shoreham - no one seems to know if these new rules will make things too dull. We'll see.
