Yes you can. Arrive after 9am to let the briefing get underway. Park by the control tower or through the tunnel and down towards the aero club. Leave the first two areas clear for the cars on track and display cars.

Thanks for letting me know! I'm assuming that we can just turn up then?

Yes just rock up and spectate. You are only allowed to spectate from the start finish straight.

And if you can find a driver with a spare seat ask if you can go around with them for a session.

You'll need to sign a disclaimer and will be expected to throw some money in the charity bucket but well worth while that's for sure.

Unfortunately whilst I've been invited to drive I'm working in Italy so I hope everybody has a great day and enjoys looking at the lovely machinery Peter brings along yes

I'll be there. I've promised a ride to some mates but grab me and I'll try and get you alongside for a session (usually 5-6 laps). White Civic Type R FK2.

Do come along! You won't be disappointed that's for sure.

As mentioned above, all the drivers are aware that they'll be taking paying passengers out and for the most part, they pull together and we always raise a good sum of money!

A question from my son, how much is the typical donation for a ride around the track?

Thanks.

There's no hard and fast rule - some give nothing, some £20 but I think a fiver is a good shout to be honest

What cheap-ass gives nothing!? It's a charity day and if a passenger hasn't been kind enough to donate, then I'm not kind enough to give up my passenger seat haha. £20 is the recommended donation for a ride.

I may be along to this with my camera to brush up on my automotive photography skills, will probably depend on the weather!

Not sure if a will PAX, always a bit wary of unknown drivers on trackdays (no offence to anyone!) especially somewhere like Goodwood with little runoff

.... yeh, there were a few groups of "lads" there today... only there for a short time.. the low light included watching some tw@ trying to impress his mates by reversing his crap bucket nissan (?) as close as possible to a P1 bumper... moron. (almost touching)

Was unable to go today but sounds a shame if muppets start turning up and start ruining the laid back atmosphere for everyone else. One thing I like about these days is being able to look around the wide selection of cars and leave my car knowing it won't get damaged.

Just what I was thinking this morning. Too many Chav's with their mobile phones.
