One of the last competitive events of the year this Saturday. Not a huge entry, but a decent mix of cars (including some pretty rapid single seaters).

I was up there for just over an hour this morning. I have to say I was disappointed with the cars. Because majority of the cars were normal road cars. Which does not interest me.... As normally there is a wider range of cars there.
Normal road cars!!!!!!!! Funny because the road going classes are the most contested and closest in rivalry. You will also find that what you deem as a non disappointing car caused the biggest hold ups after one dropped coolant at the chicane and another spun at the same place requiring recovery.

Doesn't mean it interests us.

I find the normal road cars are better entertainment for the driver than the spectator.

theres a grey RX8 in my album... may well be you!

Cant't believe people are moaning about the road cars! WTF! It was a car club meet! members of the car club take the car they want for their OWN enjoyment! - not for the enjoyment of NON PAYING spectators! (incidentally one of the BMWs ran wide out of the chicane and spun right in front of me covering me in dirt.. )

I didn't attend I pick and choose what will interest me. However I think F1JHerbert was trying to say that the sprints are normally a wide variety of cars from road to race to classic and it sounds like it wasn't this time round.

That is exactly what I was saying, Ecsrobin. As the Sprints normally have the road cars (in which I have got nothing against), normally there is a wider range of cars from old ones to present day car. If you wish to drive your Ford Focus (or whatever car you decide to drive around the circuit), it is your decision, but if i wish to see a Ford Focus, I will go into Sainsburys car park.

I will look forward to this weekend for the VSCC Sprint. Which will be more my cup of tea.

... obviously its better with a wide selection of cars... (and we all prefer to see "race" cars) but certainly not worth complaining about !? Its always a bit of a lottery which cars will be there tbh...

The number of cars ented was definitely lower than expected, but not a bad mix for an end of year club meeting..

Lynchie999, I was not complaining. If it is your cup of tea. It is your cup of tea. What I have said has been completely taken out of context.
