Kinrara dress code
Discussion
I did have an issue on Sunday, but we resolved it amicably. Rumour was that Lord M came in on Saturday and was not happy with the clothes his customers were wearing, so on Sunday the staff went to the other extreme. I think the staff were put in a difficult situation and handled it as best they could. It seemed a bit silly really.
It was a bit daft... the dress code said smart jeans were allowed, and I had a brand new pair of smart jeans on (not trendy faded ones). I had a pair of smart brown shoes, matching belt, shirt and linen jacket.
When we got there, we were told they'd us in, but only if we kept our jackets on at all times - lucky it was air-conditioned!
Have to say though, the drinks and food service was superb.

I think it says blue jeans, shorts, trainers or bare midriffs are not permitted in the enclosure. When we got there, we were told they'd us in, but only if we kept our jackets on at all times - lucky it was air-conditioned!

To quote the Goodwood website regarding the Kinrara enclosure dress code:
"On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the Kinrara Enclosure operates a strict dress code which is as follows. Strictly jacket and shirt for gentlemen; ladies are requested to follow suit with appropriate attire. Please note that blue, scruffy or ripped jeans, shorts, trainers or bare midriffs will not be permitted in the enclosure. Please ensure that all of your guests are aware of the dress code to avoid any embarrassment on the day."
IIRC, those getting Kinrara enclosure passes also received a letter to the same effect. Not much ambiguity about it.
I thought the location, amenities and level of service at Kinrara were terrific. The staff and levels of service were excellent and I will be going for the same again next year. I had no problems with the requested dress code.

Whoa! Never mind the dress code, what on earth is this abomination?...
"neither daily or weekend ticket purchases include an entrance ticket moving forward;"
I'd much rather encounter a pair of blue jeans or a bare midriff than be affronted by that appalling combination of poor sentence structure, bad grammar and corporate jargon!
