I might have the chance to attend the FOS this year, I'd be traveling down from Glasgow so what's the best option and which day is best Sat/sun? What's there to look forward too?

A friend has a choice of tickets for either of the days so sorted in that department. Was just wondering about which day to pick and the best ways to travel?

tbh you will struggle to see everything in 1 day! the timed runs up the hill are on sunday but saturday is just as good. Get there early or you will be sat in traffic for hours

I'll have to leave the chopper at home so will probably fly instead?

Turns out the tickets are drivers club tickets for the saturday. I don't have them in my possession so does anyone know what this gets us?

You won't get in with them I'm afraid so you'd best give them to me in exchange for some normal entrance tickets.......

Its like any other motorshow, but with a classic hillclimb in the middle.

Think 'garden party with cars'. If your expecting lager fueled all action entertainment your at the wrong place.

In all seriousness, I'm not familiar with exactly where you will be going, but some of the event may have a dress code...

Dress code wouldn't be a problem if I'm honest. Think I'm flying in the night before then will travel on the day. I understand it'll be busy but I guess this is the best way?

How's the food there? Is it the usual dirty burger or can I expect something half decent?

Again, you will need to check, different enclosures get different treatment, everything from all you can eat / drink gourmet style downwards. smile
Even the burgers from the vans are pretty good, not cheap, but pretty good. Goodwood tend to sell organic burgers from the farm.

We got some tickets for one hospitality areas one year, to be faor it was full of other moochers that had been sent on another companies dime so always been fairly relaxed.

Drivers paddock is normally overrun with autograph collector types.

If your driving in get there as early as poss or work out a route to avoid the main road in.
