Was speaking to Mrs Challo today as she has just started at BMW Leasing so can get 25% of tickets so we are thinking of going Friday instead of Sunday this year.

Are Friday's just as busy??

The Telegraph said:
The 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed on June 26-28 will feature the largest participation in the history of the event from American motorsport, with an increased presence from the Nascar stock car-racing fraternity and debuts from two exciting series never seen in the UK before.

The transatlantic contingent is headed by the return of The King. No, not Elvis, it’s Nascar legend Richard Petty, who has amassed a record seven Nascar championships and 200 race victories. This year he will bring the Plymouth Superbird in which he won the 1970 Nascar title and which inspired his character The King in the Disney animated film Cars.

Also synonymous with Nascar racing is Dale Earnhardt. One of his Chevrolets will be driven at Goodwood by his son Kerry, while 2000 Nascar Cup champion Bobby Labonte, making his first trip to Goodwood, drives a current-spec Chevrolet Impala SS.

In the Impala, Labonte will take on British touring car legend and Goodwood favourite Anthony Reid in a Toyota Camry Nascar in a timed contest on the 1.16-mile hillclimb.

Also joining the Sundat shoot-out is Mike Skinner, the inaugural champion of the Nascar pick-up truck series in 1995. He will drive a Chevrolet Silverado customised for the demands of hillclimbing, rather than its traditional habitat of US oval circuits.

Joining the bill is drag racing’s godfather, Don Garlits, known throughout the sport as Big Daddy and the first man to pass 200mph over a quarter-mile.

There will also be maiden Goodwood appearances from the World of Outlaws Sprint Series. These light yet incredibly powerful cars usually race of dirt ovals in the US but they’ll be facing the challenge of the 1.16-mile hillclimb for the first time.

Stadium Supertrucks will also make their debut in a new, improved Activities Field.

As has become tradition, the event will open with the Moving Motor Show on Thursday, June 25, which showcases the latest road cars and allows people to test drive them on the famous hillclimb course in the grounds of Goodwood House.
