Does anyone know and/or have experience of pubs and restaurants in Chichester that would be good for 4 blokes to grab dinner and a few pints on the weekend of the FOS? We're all between 35 and 40 so just want warmth, good beer and cider. We have done the BBQ thing on our campsite for the last umpteen years and so thought we'd try a Chichester run for a change, at least as an option.

Can thoroughly recommend this one in East Lavant:

Would be worth calling ahead though as does get VERY busy during FoS week smile

The Royal Oak ain't a cheap night out! Angelsey Arms at Halnaker is very close as well, so busy busy for FOS.

Thanks. The Royal Oak does look a little excessive for 4 blokes wanting a pie and pint. As much as I like my food, there's a time and a place.

A few thoughts....admittedly not in Chichester, but in some of the villages immediately around the town, and a cab ride away......

There are plenty of places in the St Pancras area of Chichester. The Nag's Head did a good carvery last time we were there ( a few years ago now).

If you want to go a bit further out, there is the Coach and Horses at Compton. In terms of food nowhere else in the Chi area gets close. I even drag work colleagues in Portsmouth out there. It is about 15mins from Chi though, out past Funtingdon.
