Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction here or even help me out. Im getting married on the 12th September this year in Chichester (about 10 mins from Goodwood). Obviously my other half is stressing wobble due to potential traffic issues and so on but I had an idea idea that I'm hoping the revival can help us out with another matter.

There are going to be some spectacular carstank on show and in the area and im looking to see if anyone has anything extra special they would like to drive by wife to be and possibly a few of her bridal party over in. She is going to be staying in the local area but Im hoping to find something she will always remember to bring her to the venue in. I could go down the traditional route and hire something from a local company but Im sure there is something great out there thats going to the revival.

If anyone knows anyway I can get in touch with anyone willing or would like to get involved then please let me know. Im happy to pay for the service of course.

I have contacted Goodwood direct but got a very formal not very helpful response back , so am hoping the Revival community might be able to help me out.

Cheers,

PS.Apologies for the poor use of the smilies

A slight problem with your plan, those with the nice period cars will have them parked up at Goodwood and will no doubt be watching the motor racing after paying for the privilege.

Your fiancé is also right in that traffic will be awful. I'm assuming your local to the area and so know how bad traffic will be?

Forget it. People who have paid to go to the Revival are not going to be heading out from the racing to act as a wedding chauffeur. Just go down the route of hiring one and don't waste time waiting on an offer that is unlikely to be forthcoming. Also the traffic will be bad morning and late afternoon for sure. As long as you're travelling during the middle of the day you'll be fine but allow for delays in your planning.

Just thinking about it I would be booking a car sooner rather than later you'll probably find a lot of the local hire cars have a trade stand to drum up business so might be unavailable.

ok cheers for the info. Think this idea is dead in the water, was worth an enquiry though.
