Thursday the new Friday
Went to GFoS today. Got there early and it was just like Friday used to be: the crowd was rather thin and you could take photos without too many people in the way.
Some pictures:
I suppose the joke’s been done about getting ahelmet big enough for his ego?
Not quite so ugly in real life as on the screen. Not quite.
I've got a video of the 1914 GP Merc being run. I'll post a link when I've uloaded it. In the meantime:

It was really good I thought. I got in free, press pass, but I reckon I'll go next year on the Thursday. I thought the Mercedes cars were stunning, with George Wahlberg (spl?) with the stunning 1914 GP winning car. It had been on a re-run for the 100th anniversary of the GP. Covered in Classic and Sportscar.
I spoke with his 'mechanic', a woman of mature years, who sits in the passenger seat with various functions during the preparation and hillclimb. She was great: a real character. Impressive.
I've got an article to write on it. I'll see my boss and ask him it it'll be all right to republish it on here.

Found it all very pleasant today, back on Saturday for the hospitality thing. Had access to Lord March's balcony today too

first time for me on a Thursday, back on Saturday and Sunday... just hope the weather holds out, today was ideal.
Sadly I cannot upload any pictures, as they are all over 2mb
Luckily, there is Flickr!

A few from me:
I rather fancied this as a feature piece in my garden
Fangio's Streamliner
And imagine doing 105mph with it loaded on the back of this
Nice to see a TVR can still impress
Alfa Romeo museum brought an impressive collection
Eenie Meenie Miney Moe ...
That Maserati again!
the display of classic Mercedes was most impressive
As were the Maseratis
And to finish, realising I probably couldn't have the Spitfire I wondered if I could convince my wife this would look good in the garden
