FOS Camping Questions
Discussion
Hello there we have FOS Camping tickets and have a few questions,
I am planing on Bringing the TVR Sag down and putting it on the pitch is this ok?
Whats it like for food at Breakfast / Night time is there a social place were we can eat and drink at night?
If not is it easy to get the car on and off site to go looking for a nice pub to get some none festival food!!??
Is there a campsite shop? i heard a rumour about a farm shop
thanks,

I believe the pitches are 7m x 9m so depending on the size of your tent and/or the number of tents, a Sagaris will easily fit. For comparison, last year we had a Mercedes E Coupe, a C estate and 3 tents on our pitch with enough room for a BBQ and chairs. Even if you do have to park the car slightly outside the pitch you should be OK just as long as it's not so far out as to cause an obstruction.
The Goodwood hotel always has a bar, BBQ and a stage for evening entertainment. Your proximity to it will depend on which campsite you're in.
On each campsite there's a shop which has most things you'd need.

going to chuck into this thread as well. one question answered already but can the car and the tent go together, i assume yes? First timer, driving 620 miles to get there. Dont think we will get 4 days of stuff in the elise for two people, plus a possible comfort issue, so going to take the kombi.
I took a pitch with no power, which on hindsight maybe wasnt that smart. Any do's or donts? Are the toilets good/bad?

You can park the car next to the tent, but really depends on whether it fits into 7x9 plot. I took a pitch with no power, which on hindsight maybe wasnt that smart. Any do's or donts? Are the toilets good/bad?
Toilets are excellent - considering how they could be given the volume of people.
The do's would be not to expect a specific pitch, you're allocated the next space in the field when you arrive.
Also, do make sure and stop at the check in cabin and all go in for your wrist bands to be fitted.
There is a "farm shop" food supply avaiable which you order for drop off to the entrance cabin. Given theres a couple of large supermarkets not five mins drive away I'd stick with those having seen the farm shop prices.
We fitted a 3x3 gazebo, three two man tents and a Phaeton on the pitch we had on the non electric site the last time. This year we're hoping to squeeze the gazebo, four tents and a Vito Sport on there, though that will be tight. We are about 475 miles away and not travelling light for the trip either!
There isn't anything on the non electric field in the way of catering facilities, just lots of cabins of shower and toilet facilities. Getting on and off site is fine, you just wave your wrist band at the stewards.
We tend to visit the supermarket in the evening and cook up some breakfast rolls on a camping stove in the morning. BBQ is the plan for a couple of evenings and we've a table booked at a restaurant in Chichester one evening too, just to be civilised at some point!

We've hired a motor home(complete novice) and have the full weekend tickets. We plan on getting there Thursday afternoon and just catching the last bit of the moving motor show. Hopefully traffic should of quietened down by then.
I've no idea what to expect,as in how busy or entertainment wise, any tips for a newbie?
