best 2 days for FOS2014

I'm coming to the FOS from the isle of man and am stuck with the decision of going on all four days or just going to two what would people that have been there in the past recommend? Thanks.

4 days no doubt! Tough to do everything in 2 days,

Thursday isn't a proper show day as such. Much more low key and not everything is out and uncovered.

Friday is marginally quiter (very busy rather than stupidly overcrowded) but the celeb drivers are more scarce and the hill climbers/rally stagers are getting a feel for the conditions on their early runs.

Saturday is mental, people everywhere, four deep each side of the tarmac, big name drivers are out and about and the hill climbers are getting more commited.

Sunday is as mental with visitors, the top ten shoot out runs later on Sunday on the climb with full commitment from the fastest ten drivers of the weekend.


If you are doing two days I'd suggest the Friday and Saturday but to get round everything and actually take in whats all there and going on, you really want to spend the whole weekend, otherwise you are watching some of whats going on then moving on to the next bit!

I would go on 3 days, thurs - sat
Thurs (which is cheap or free) to get your bearings and wonder round. Also maybe blag a testdrive
friday to wonder around again and watch some of the cars up the hill
Saturday to find a good place and just watch the cars go up the hill and get there early and wonder round the paddocks
