I personally felt misled by the supercar car park. I was told it would be right next to the F1 paddock. I was also annoyed at the dirt track we all had to negotiate only to arrive at a grass field! My brother parked in gate 5, less dust, almost as near and £50 less!!

Maybe I am just getting stingy in my old age?! What does everyone else think?

As a spectator I found it disappointing. Usual array of Ferraris, Astons and R8s. Can walk through the public car parks and see more imaginative stuff. A black Schuppan 962 was the only standout car for me. No imagination in there otherwise.

I'm perhaps bitter as I held the unlikely hope that my mint 840 Ci Sport may have appeared on the list of super cars (i maintain it was a supercar in its day!) but having seen what my extra fifty quid would have got me I can't say I'm too disappointed.

The ratty old MG ZT v8 parked in there with "Affordable Supercar For Sale" posters in the windows did make me snigger though.

Wasn't worth it...and when was a Lexus IS-F or Panamera a Supercar? I was happy I had an extra 5min walk from forward GRRC parking and saved £50.

Yes, I did wander about the MG too!! I think they didn't really know what to include or not. Personally, being a BMw fan and owner, I would have been interested in seeing a mint 840ci, they are quite rare now! They might get more coverage as BMW talk about a potential revival!

The FOS is the highlight of my year, but I really felt like I was being ripped off wherever I went. The ticket price is expensive but I can't grumble about that as we all still pay it, but the supercar park I feel was a con and the price of food etc is astronomical! A picnic in the non-supercar carpark next year for me!

For my £50, I expected some security to be honest. I also didn't expect a bloody Rover to pass muster either.

So glad it wasn't just me........What an absolute rip off! Dusty, no security, no real order, not REALLY part of the show and, and , and a fking MG to boot arrrrrrrrrrggggghhhhh. With a Forsale sale that said something about affordable Supercar??
Sorry.....? Affordable hmmmm yes of course, Supercar?? I had to leave immediately and go have a lie down!

Brilliant show, superb weather, poo Supercar parking

I think the idea is quite cool, the Main Supercar Paddock is great but only contains the most up to date cars, sometimes you like to see the greats of past. However from a spectators standpoint the one we went past was far too removed to be worth the visit and only really garnered passing glances. I liked the black and red Noble but I wouldn't have liked to pay £50 to get your car covered in dust.

Agree, a complete waste of money.. in essence a grass carpark that was slightly closer to entrance. Most spectators only stumbled across it I think because it was on route from/to their car park. Being parked next to trucks and vans didn't give it a special feel frown

Great weekend, but won't be throwing my money away on this option again.

Come on Goodwood, you can do better than this.

I think the MG was a bit tongue in cheek, as it had a mustang engine dropped in it, hence the mustang badge in the grill - but still not a supercar. Surprised anyone would want to pay an extra £50 to park there

So what did people expect. Typical goodwood profiteering aimed at those who like to pose.

That's presumptious of you Ed. Thrice.

I parked there for the convenience and because I didn't want my car broken into by the do as you likeys. It was also close to go back and get the picnic at lunch and I'm not likely to be able to afford another qualifying car. Unless I buy that POS Rover, that took the fking piss that did and I thought there would be some roving security.

Profiteering? Probably but don't assume i was there for posing.

so if I paid £50 for my supercar and it broke down, should I not go, take my everyday car and park there, or take the everyday car and park in the normal car park, losing the privilege I paid for?

Just thinking...

I stumbled upon it, didn't realise it was the supercar car park although there was a mixture of some nice cars.

Surely anyone stupid enough to pay £50 to park for the day has the right to take whatever they want to. Personally i was happy to park in the "peasant fields" and enjoy a 15 minute stroll admiring some fantastic metal. Pro rata i was "earning" £200 per hour for that walktongue out
