FoS by Motorbike
Discussion
I am planning on going on my bike on Friday. The website says that there is somewhere to leave your helmet when you get to the circuit and I am assuming that I will also be able to leave my leathers there as well. Does anyone have any experience of this? Seems like it's going to be too nice a day not to go on two wheels.
The parking for bikes is at Goodwood circuit, with a free shuttle bus every 10/20 minutes.
There will be a couple of large white containers where the helmets/leathers are stored.
It is safe, and will be manned all day by volunteers from the Richard Burns foundation, who will give you a numbered ticket for your own kit.
(I have looked after this part for the past 3 years, but I'm on bucket shaking duties this year!)

Just head for the Goodwood Motor Circuit (about a third of a mile away from the event). If your coming from Chichester, you'll get to the circuit before the FoS. This is the dedicated motorbike parking with helmet & leathers storage with a shuttle to & from the event. It's all hard standing with no dust to worry about!!

Brilliant Thanks, the plan is all coming together Too late for the OP, but for others:
I've been on Thurs and Fri. Bike parking arrangements are excellent, just go to the motor racing circuit (follow signs to Aerodrome), park up and hand over your gear.
You'll get a black bin bag to put your clobber in- these will easily accommodate boots, jacket and trousers- they'll store your helmet separately.
It's (sort of) free (though dropping a few quid in the collection buckets is good form).
You can then either wait for the shuttle bus that goes up to Car Park A, or walk it (about 20 mins). On Friday morning we were warned that the bus was taking ages to do the return trip thanks to the horrendous traffic queues, so I walked. It is a bit of a hike (and you need to be careful on the road section).
However, riding past several miles of queuing cars makes it well worth biking.
One other thing- security seems OK. I accidentally left a pair of decent sunglasses on the seat of my bike yesterday, they were still there when I got back.
