what time on Friday morning to avoid traffic?

couple of friends are driving down to FOS on Friday morning - I have said get to Goodwood before 8am to avoid horrible traffic but is this early enough?

Depends where you are coming from, if you get there at 8am you should be fine, I assume you are coming from the North ?? take the route up the hill past the racecourse, i've never had any issues at 8am taking that route.. leave it 9-9.30 you will have to queue to get in..

I've always been wary of the queues, so always get there for 7am and leave late, about 8pm. A long day but well worth it
