Hi all,

So I've been a lucky little boy and just won two tickets to Goodwood on Sunday.

Obviously because of the last minute nature I don't have a hotel booked and of course everywhere within a 30 mile radius is sold out on all the usual hotel booking sites.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Any low key B&B's or even friendly people with a spare room. I'll be travelling down with my girlfriend and of course happy to pay a fair rate.

I thought about camping but thats sold out too I believe.

most hotels are sold out all weekend and imagine most B & B's would as well. May have to look further afield, Guildford, Portsmouth, Littlehampton, Worthing etc...
Phone butlins in Bognor, I know a lot of drivers stay there for the weekend
Good Luck

If you fancy posh, try the Lythe Hill Hotel in Haslemere:

If you want to camp, go to Scotts Farm in East Wittering. No need to book and they always have space. We camped there last year:

Thanks guys. All those hotels are full.

The more I think about it the more I dont fancy a camp. We will drive down from Leeds Saturday afternoon. Then drive back home Sunday eve. Not really sure I want to pitch a tent and sleep on a mat after and before all that driving wink

I'll just widen my search I think I look Guildford/Farnham way.

Thanks for your help so far smile

I've just booked a room at the Hilton in Reading, it'll be about a 1.5 hour drive, but the rate didn't seem to bad, £58 a night. That was the closest fairly decent hotel I could find that was reasonably priced(the wife's a bit of a snob!). I'm driving down from Manchester so I figured I'd do most of the distance the day before then only leaves the last 50 miles to do.

I might have a friend with a room going on the Sat night at the Aldershot travel lodge that night, unless he has already cancelled. Do you want me to ask him or are you sorted? (we are going down from Leeds on Sat aft too)

Thanks for that offer.

The person I'm going with her sister is in the Army and what I didn't know was shes based in Portsmouth. So shes going to put us up now hopefully. - Will be finding out in the morning.

If for any reason it changes I'll post back here smile

Just an idea - i usually stop in Crawley by Gatwick - it's only a 25 minute drive from there - there should still be room at one of the Premier Inns, have a look on Booking.com, just put in a search for hotels in Crawley, you won't pay over the odds either.
