So I am off to the revival this year for the first time.

There are loads of "vintage shops" selling ladies attire, but it seems very little for men.

There are places hiring uniforms, but didnt really want to go that route.

Thought a smart suit like the Kemp brothers wore in the Krays would look good, but doesnt look like any chance of getting something like that.

Another option would be blazer, they do seem to be more easily bought, not entirely sure what you would wear with it.

So any suggestions?

Im thinking of going down the tweed route. Just keeping an eye on ebay, to see if anything catches my eye. Other than that, a bit of googling when I get chance

Would a Steve McQueen "Bullitt" style get up be too new (1968) for revival ? Mir I could find a fastback mustang to go with it, even better !!

I went down the opposite route, rather than being a tweed wearing type I opted for a pair of white overalls with a Shell logo on the back of them, suitably daubed with strategically placed oil, white t-shirt also daubed with strategically placed oil, lace up boots, touch of brylcreem in the hair.

Not the most inventive of looks but I think I got away with it!!!

I remember years ago going to the revival with the old man and one year it was jeans and t-shirts the next it was everyone dressed up. We just didn't get the memo and felt completely out of place.

Same, I used to go with a mate and very very few people were dressed up. Not been for many year but going on the Saturday this year and will dress accordingly smile

I find that chinos, jacket and a tie is acceptable as I had no issues of getting into the paddock.

I've been to every one bar the first and my recollection is that people have always dressed in period with the stick in the muds being the exception. Anyway, it's easy for blokes, blazer or tweed jacket, chinos and brogues plus a hat of some sort, flat, trilby or panama according o the weather. Job done.
