FOS supercar parking
Discussion
Never seen this before, does anyone know what it is? Presumably doesn't help beat the traffic, sounds like all it offers is some parking a bit closer to the action which doesn't really seem worth £60 and depriving yourself of a wander through the main car park. If on the other hand there is some huge benefit I'd be curious to know. I suspect their list of eligible supercars could start a whole thread of itself....
It would seem a bit of a cheek to charge you to park then make it part of the show!
Here's their list of supercars, interesting read, they do offer to accept 'suggestions' should anyone wish to take issue

Yes owners provide another attraction and get charged for the privilege!!Bearing in mind that most "supercars" have minimal ground clearance GW still has its disclaimer about any damage caused by the rough ground. Having suffered considerable repair costs caused by their temporary roadways being badly laid and their bad manners in not replying to my letter about it, I think GW should provide suitable even ground for these cars if they expect people to pay. The income for 300 cars over the 3 days is £50k, not bad for a piece of grass. They could at least spend some of that money making the ground flat and even.
It needs some admin and supervision so there is some cost.
And yes - it generates a healthy profit.
But for those who are nervous about their £100K and up pride and joy being scratched, keyed or worse - the price is a bit of a bargain.
Odds are it is coned off, security will be present etc etc.

Members of the Goodwood Road Racing Club are allowed the privilege of "advanced parking" at F-o-S, which is all fine and lovely until you leave at five o'clock and the realisation dawns that your advanced parking spot puts you right at the back of the horrendous queue to get out of the parking field.
This year I think I'm going to give advanced parking a miss and try to park up right by the exit gate.

Any idea on when those that have applied find out if they've been successful or not? I've gone for it on the Saturday, they have taken payment (and its gone out of my bank) but it says nothing about when you find out if you have been successful. And if I'm not, will I get my money back?
As far as I can see ALL 911's are eligible....
As an exception for 2013, all variants of the Porsche 911 will be considered for the SuperCar Park, subject to numbers and variety, to tie-in with Goodwood’s 50th anniversary celebrations of this iconic sports car – including the Central Feature display – at this year’s Festival of Speed.
BUT do note it is an exception!!
Now I see what you mean, NO 911's AFTER this year.
