My lovely wife and daughter are buying us tickets to the revival this year and as I've never been, I'd like to know any general advice and whether we should visit on the Saturday or Sunday. I'd like to camp but not sure how we'd cope with a 7 mth old baby?

Many thanks

To camp on the goodwood campsite you need to book a 3 day camping pass. You might find a local campsite but they sell out pretty quick.

The biggest piece of advice I'd give is dress up the first revival I went to in normal rig and stood out like a fool.

Not sure about the camping, Dale, but the Revival FAQ states: Crèche facilities are available near the Supershell Lawn behind the Woodcote Grandstand for children aged 8 years and under. Children may be left with qualified carers for a period of one hour for a small charge. Pushchairs may also be left at the Crèche.

Totally agree with Robin that period gear makes a huge difference and I have seen many parents push their babies along in old style perambulatores. For example:

In terms of crowding, Friday is relatively quiet, Saturday and Sunday are much busier. No difference between either day. You might want to consider coming both Saturday and Sunday. "Doing" the Revival in one day is exhausting.

One day is indeed not enough. You could spend a day walking around the tax free car park and not even go into the circuit.

I do all three days every year. As to which day to plump for out of Saturday and Sunday, there is nothing to choose between them. Personally I'm a great fan of the RAC TT celebration race (Aston's, AC Cobra's, E-types, Ferrari's and the like) which is run on the Sunday, but there is plenty of good racing on both days.

Thanks for the advice guys, is there a listing of planned Saturday races on the net, or is it too early?

I'm not aware that the listings are published this far in advance. Personally, I've only seen the full race programme and track events when I've arrived on the Friday and picked up my race programme- that's not to say they are published elsewhere.
The bottom line is that the racing on both days is top drawer and you wont be disappointed.

And another question; is ANY period dress acceptable? E.g.: mods/rockers?

Mods and rockers is quite a popular choice, just watch out for the fighting.

Sunday- normally around 3pm.
Qualifying is on Friday and Saturday.
