Mini Cooper S racing at 2013 Revival?
Discussion
Thanks JGoodwood,
Do you happen to know, as GRRC Club Secretary, if there will be a race dedicated to just Mini's ?
Reason for asking...... I have a fellow petrol heads in Kentucky who would make the trip to the UK, especially to see Mini Coopers in action. They own a mint '67 Cooper S. I remember a few years back when there was a race dedicated to the screaming 998 and 1275 Mini Coopers.
Thanks Jon

Definitely no dedicated race for minis this year. We would only do something like that when there s significant anniversary. This year the dedicated race will be full of GT40s... Can't wait for that! Do you happen to know, as GRRC Club Secretary, if there will be a race dedicated to just Mini's ?

I suppose we'll be waiting for the government to cut taxes before Goodwood invites 'Kit Cars'to form a race ? Shame really , it would even be fun to run against other production marques !!!
We quite often feature period kit-cars at Revival.. Some examples... Lotus Elan, Lotus Elite, Kellison (Lord March owns one of these..), Elva Courier, Rochdale GT, TVR... They just need to be in period (pre '66)... I'm sure someone will be along soon with some time to complete the kit-car list...Cheers,
J

I was being ' silly ' to be honest but interesting to know they do get time/space if in period . Unfortunately my own build was 1997/9 and the marque itself was first built in 1993/4 ish . It's a Classic Stylus designed by Jeremy Phillips of SYLVA AUTOKITS , more recently manufacturing rights were bought by SSC and the body was made for them by Tim Duffee/DARRION/DAVRIAN fame . Cheers,
J
