Grandstands at the Revival
Discussion
Have never been to the Revival before, but we are considering doing it instead of Le Mans next year.
What are peoples thoughts on grandstands at the Revival? Do you consider them a necessity, or is there ample viewing space on the grass banks and the grandstands just a nice to have? The grandstand tickets are quite expensive and are only for 1 day, so I'm not sure whether it is worth it or not.
Thanks for your thoughts!

They can be very nice to have if the weather is bad! My favourite is Woodcote, but equally sitting on the banking at Madgwick in the sun is also a good place to be.
Which day are you planning on going? If the Friday don't bother, but the weekend days are much busier and getting a good spot can be more challenging... If you are only going for one day and want to do some wandering then you might find you won't be in the for a large portion of the time.
So........ up to you - do you want to watch every bit of racing or just wander and soak up the atmosphere and see a bit of the racing? If the former - then yes go for a grandstand seat, if the latter - don't.
