Anyone going to brave it one last time before all our lovely cars get put

into hibernation for the deep dark winter ahead.

Hopefully weather will be dry at least but bloody cold.......who's in?

I'm taking my mum for her birthday. Unfortunately we'll just be in the family 335i Touring so not exactly a 'Continental Classic'. Still, Regents Street Motor Show the day before so should be a fine weekend of automotive activity.

Yes I will be there rain or shine. Hopefully not shoved into the field, rear wheel drive and wet socks not a pleasant combination!.

As I'm only down the road I'll probably toddle along. Got a nice old Fiat 130 coupe stuck in the back of the workshop I'll most likely dig out for the occasion.

I'll be there - EARLY.

Couldn't get onto the circuit for Soft Top Sunday because they closed the gates due to weight of traffic, and I certainly wasn't going to park in the general car park.Perish the thought.

This time I'll be ahead of the hoards, although this is one of the least well attended breakfast club meets, usually, because of the weather.

Pray for Sun on Sunday.

I got there early (around 8am) for Soft Top Sunday and, despite protests, was parked in a general ("Tescos") car park. frown

We were told the circuit was full. rolleyes

But there was only a handful of cars on the straight.

That's why there was some was exotic machinery parked in with the tintops.

Fortunately, there is a small link road from there to the chicane, so I rectified their "mistake". wink

I don't know if this link will work as the site that it comes from is "members only", I think anybody can join, if you want to, it's called Forty-One-Six and is intended to be all things to motorsport fans, it's a Goodwood initiative, anyway, the point of this is that the stout gentleman in the cowboy hat who sorts the sheep from the goats at the breakfast club is called Barry Wiseman or "Baz" to his mates.

Why not try a cheery "Good Morning Baz", it might get you onto the grid.

Forecast is for heavy rain until 7am frown I wonder state the visitors field will be in? Probably need a 4x4 to get out. Is there anywhere nearby that can be used for parking that is hard?

Forecast is good from 8am-12pm, so hopefully it will be well attended.

The GRRC section of FOS is members only and accessed with your GRRC membership number and password, the rest of the site is, I believe, open access.

I wouldn't call 8am early, certainly not for a popular Breakfast Club like Soft Top Sunday. I aim to arrive at 7.30 but that's not always guaranteed to get me on the track.

I've been waiting since 7.00 to see if the weather improves but it seems to be getting worse.

My son headed off an hour ago and hopefully he'll get a few pictures. I'm going back to bed!

Decided to brave it but after 10 minutes of treacherous flooded B roads thought I'd return home
