Excellent selection of photos, and you've even managed to make my worn-out MR2 look good! thumbup

Mind if I use the photo for my profile pic?

Are the Marshals interested in cars?!

Despite a supremely qualifying car, we were waved into the field with the 4X4's only to watch a 2CV and a hard top Exige and mini being allowed through. We parked (in the field) next to a superb vintage Alvis that had also been refused admission.

I shan't bother next time.

I agree.

There were some stunning vehicles consigned to the Tesco car park, which were a real treat to see.
We then arrived at the track to see a rather ordinary 3-series BMW being given preferential treatment, seemingly due to it containing two easy-on-the-eye blondes.

A good day out, with some odd marshalling.

I guess it's the car Park to the right as you go in.

My pics from this morning are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/peejays/sets/72157631...

The car park directly outfield of the chicane, next to the retro Tesco store.

My car, un-photographed (or at least I haven't seen any photos of it!), doubtless due to it's general tattiness!

I loved it, really, really busy this year wasn't it!

Hope this works as its the first time ive done it. Let me know.
Had a great morning and saw some lovely cars. As for parking on the track, I got there nice and early so i got in the track. I always take a stroll around the car park for people who like a lie in.

Grow up a bit. Does it really matter where you park at this FREE event. No. Didn't think so. Night.

It's very odd to turn up just after 8am and be directed into an outer car park (and told the circuit was full) when the grid area is barely full, yet cars were still being directed on to the circuit after 11am.

Did anyone get a nice snap of a blue 2007 alfa spider? I got so caught up taking pics of other cars that I forgot to take some of my own!

Doesn't matter where I park, dear.

My car is relatively common and ordinary.

It does matter where the people with the 'special' cars park, as they are the ones that make this event.

They should not be directed to the 'car park round the back' at the expense of the 'ordinary' everyday cars that turn up mid-morning.

And the event stops becoming quite so FREE when you get up in the middle of the night and drive halfway across the country to share your pride and joy with fellow enthusiasts (not everyone is a 5 minute walk from the track).

Exactly....

I made an effort to prepare a car, a rare one too, and drive down hoping for a spot on the grid.

I saw one in the slideshow linked in the first post. Actually I think almost every car there is in that extensive collection.

Interesting to see the Piaggio Ape, it must have arrived after I left. My brother has one and I would like to bring it one day, but it would have to be trailered as he lives to the north and there's no way it would make it over the hills!

Hmm, I looked through that album twice.. Couldn't see it. Maybe I'm being my usual blind self. Could you point me to the page it's on?
