Six quid for a bacon roll !!
Discussion
IMO, food is very very poor at Goodwood. Steer well clear of any "Goodwood Organic cateric van" as the sausages are grisly and the bacon full of fatty rind. Ask for the bacon trimmed and you get moaned at.
Dont mind paying £6 for a bacon bap - if it's TOP NOTCH. Don't hide behind an "organic" label to justify fatty, poorly presented meats!

£6 for a 2 rasher roll is disgusting tbh.
Just because you have a captive market doesn't mean it's ok to rip people off.
I wonder how they justify the expense and I wonder how much they would sell if they dropped they prices down to ridiculous instead of obscene?
I am guessing they pay an awful lot of money for the privelidge of running a van at the Festival, if you want to blame anyone, LM will be the culprit, he will almost certainly set the tariffs.Just because you have a captive market doesn't mean it's ok to rip people off.

The food at the Goodwood events is terrible. At the FoS, the Porsche tent is noticeably better than the other options but there is no equivalent at the Revival. Best to take your own food really, particularly if you get there early so can park relatively close to the entrance so it's only a short walk back to the car to get it at lunchtime.
The organisers really need to sort this out as it's by far the weakest link of the whole event (FoS and Revival) and the fact that the food in the members' enclosure is supposed to be subsidised just adds insult to injury.

I was particularly griping about the Goodwood Estate Organic vans pricing. Others are selling bacon rolls at £4.50 or £5. Its the Goodwood wagons that are really upping the price.
I'm not convinced that £4.50 for two rashers and a bun is not over-priced, but an additional 25% for Goodwood's own in-house facility shows the money grabbing attitude.
Don't even start me on the especially piss-poor catering and bar offerings and pricing within the "exclusive" GRRC March Enclosure

I know Goodwood personnel pop in here,
Now, it might well be estate organic bacon that you can identify and name the "donor" animal, but £6 for two rashers and a roll.
C'mon guys this is taking the pith.
I didn't partake. At least my doc will be pleased I suppose.
I'll see you your £6 and raise you to £25 for two breakfast's, two cups of coffee and a cup of tea. The price for food is a little on the punchy side if i'm honest. Now, it might well be estate organic bacon that you can identify and name the "donor" animal, but £6 for two rashers and a roll.
