I popped into Goodwood yesterday to help with an aircraft, and was pleasantly surprised to find the Saywell cars on track smile

I've wondered this for ages, but what is the significance of AOG on the registration plates?

IIRC it stands for "Airplane on Ground" in reference to the spare parts for planes business he runs.
