Hi everyone, my son and his wife have tickets for Saturday at the Revival and because he would like a beer or two he is thinking of taking the train to Chichester from Clapham. Has anyone tried using public transport from the station to the track? He says he thinks there is a bus of some sort but as I always drive down for the weekend I've never experienced it.

Thoughts anyone? Rich...

There are vintage buses that run from outside Chichester station direct to Goodwood & drop outside the door for £5 return. They run approx every 30mins (depending on traffic). There is a lot more going on into the evening every night this year (over the road from the circuit but still part of the event) that will be going on til about 10ish, not sure how long into the evening the buses will run for tho.

Hope that helps.

Local taxi companies are used to the access to the event. If the buses no longer run, you could use http://www.starlineminicabs.co.uk/ or another local firm. Once the worst of the traffic has gone it's a 10 minute run to the station from the circuit.

That's great thanks for the info. Return isn't so bad because they'll probably have dinner with us somewhere and get a late taxi back to the station. Vintage bus sounds fun smile

Vintage bus with people dressed in vintage gear sounds like fun and a great photo opportunity!
