Anyone on it? I have the afternoon booked and it'll be my first track day. Lets hope it all goes well.

I'll probably be there to take some photos. Won't be on track though, no one wants to see a Nissan Note on the track. rolleyes

I am there a few days earlier, great track, great fun.

Get there early as when they close the track at 12 all the morning people queue up for the afternoon session and go and get a bite to eat. If you arrive at 1pm you will have a wait!

I had my first actual track-day a month ago at Goodwood. I hope you can get an instructor to go with you on the first few stints, they guide you and are a great help. Going out solo for the first time gets the adrenaline and anxiety flowing but that soon turns into exhilaration and fun, and some fear too. The end of the afternoon comes all too soon but you'll be exhausted as the concentration required is quite intense.

I can't wait to get another go.

Enjoy it and let us know how you get on.

I'm driving to and from the circuit. I can normally get ~180 from a tank. Is a spare 20L jerry can the way to go?

No chance! I managed 6mpg but Sainsbury's is only a mile away for a top up.

Oh, you're doing a half day? Should be fine then....

Great track - I went through a tank of fuel in 6, 5 laps sessions in my 911 on the Saywell Day

And I also went through a set of tyres and front brakes in two track days..... biggrin

Enjoy your day wink

I go through a set of rear tyres yearly and a set of fronts every two as it is!

So, it didn't really rain, only a little spitting. Had a brilliant time and overtook most bar a Mclaren MC12 and a race prepped Caterham.

Always fancied it, more of a cost issue. It was my only car, so I couldn't ding it.

and to finish off the thread. Two videos. Unfortunately the car has a a windscreen so it gets in the way. More so in one than the other due to the height of the different drivers (helmet cams).

Great videos and the Caterham looks awesome. That McLaren was pretty quick, blitzed past the Mustang.
