Hi guys, does anyone know what the 'McLaren Automotive' days are at Goodwood this week? Quick response please as i'm going on holiday in about an hours time and there's no internet connection where i'm stopping.
GRRC were offering members a day with McLaren via their web site. Meet at McLaren factory for tour and Q&A session, private plane down to Goodwood, each attendee given keys to MP4-12C for local roads and track day session, laps of track with their test drivers in pilot seat all for £750 to GRRC members as opposed to £2000 regular cost. If I could get a day off I'd go in a heartbeat but I'm too busy at work.Grey Ghost said:

And it sold out in 1 hour!! McLaren will be at Goodwood from Tues-Thurs running their 'Pure McLaren' program for potential customers. Not really much to see apart from the cars on the circuit - parts of the paddock are not open to the public.J

Hi again, thanks for the responses. Does anyone know what the 'Mithril' meet is this Friday? Thanks.
Mithril do the drive a supercar etc round the circuit. They have a range of cars you can buy vouchers as presents to treat someone to some laps round Goodwood in something nice.touching cloth said:
James do you think there may be any more of these McLaren days in the pipeline for GRRC members - I can vouch for the quick sellout, think I called at about 40 minutes from the email being sent, but only made it onto the waiting list.
It's possible but they won't be as cheap.. Probably closer to £1k. I will contact everyone on the waiting list first if any more last minute places become available. JRob282828 said:
Hmm... Sounds good. Give me an example of the supercars i might see, i'm guessing 360's and stuff like that?
Yeah, they have a range of older model Ferrari's including some stuff a lot of other places like this don't have, such as a 355, 348 & 308. They also have a Gallardo, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, plus some classics like an Jaguar E type and Porsche 911.I don't work for them BTW I live local and if family ask what I want for birthday/christmas, I ask for a track day, Doing the Ferrari 360 next month in fact.
You find see all their cars on their website, just google Mithril Racing.
Well, got myself a second chance offer (or third chance in fact) and had the Mclaren day yesterday. Thanks to James and all the Goodwood folk, and of course Mclaren guys and girls for putting on a great event. Efficient and perfect from start to finish. Great car, great factory, great day.
